Roxanne Aguilar Brusa ’02 and husband Ernesto Brusa welcomed their first child, Madeleine Rebecca Brusa, to the family on Feb. 7, 2016. After three years of bliss they would like to include her as an addition to the SCU family.

Ian ’02 and Bethany (Stevenson) Kelly ’02 welcomed their first daughter, Erinne Margaret, on January 5, 2010. The family lives in Portland, Ore.

Maren (Hawkins) Pellant ’02 and husband Butch Pellant welcomed daughter, Sawyer Jane, on february 18th, 2010. Sawyer joins big brother Beckham 4, and big sister, Tylie,3.

Gilbert Aviles ’00 and Nyrene Badal Aviles ’02 welcomed Evan Edward Aviles on May 27, 2011. Evan was born in Santa Clara, CA and weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces. He joins his big sister Layla.

Mike Helms ’02 and Angela (Mares) Helms ’04 welcomed baby girl, Rileigh Madison, on June 2. 6 pounds 6 ounces, 19.5 inches long, Rileigh joins her big brother Carter. The family resides in Mountain View.

Gilbert Aviles ’00 and Nyrene Badal Aviles ’02 announce the birth of their daughter Layla Grace Aviles on August 28, 2009 in Santa Clara, Calif.

Kevin Ireland ’02 and family welcomed their first child, Nicholas William Ireland, on January 5.  

Renee (Osborne) Benedict ’02 writes, "My daughter, Sophia Marie, was born in July 2015. I am really enjoying her. It’s the first grandchild for Connie Osborne ’75."

Jeannine Torres ’02 and her husband Christopher Kim (Princeton ’95) welcomed the birth of their son Jasper Kim on September 17th, 2010. Jeannine also just started the second year of her masters program at Harvard. They currently live in Cambridge, Mass.

Ian Kelly ’02 and Bethany (Stevenson) Kelly ’02 welcomed their second daughter, Caitlin Clara, on July 30, 2012. She joins big sister Erinne. Her middle name comes from the place her parents met: Santa Clara! The family lives in Portland.

Blaze Smallwood ’02 and wife Annie welcomed their second child, Brady Drue, on May 17, 2014. Big sister Avery Mae (4 years old in Oct 2014) loves giving her new brother smooches any chance she gets.

Mary Chong Carrera ’02 and husband Jesus, welcomed their second son, Angel, on December 6, 2013. Big brother Jesse loves showering Angel with kisses and can’t wait to play ninja turtles with him.

Stephen Tonna ’01 and Margery (Blain) Tonna ’02 welcomed a baby boy, Joshua, to the world on February 23, 2010. The family resides in Willow Glen, and Joshua’s proud parents both work in marketing at Apple Inc. in Cupertino.

Jennifer Magpayo Alderete ’02, husband – Chris, big brother CJ, and big sister Kaya, are proud to announce the birth of Liana "Lia", on August 29, 2014. New baby sister was 7lb 11oz and a week early. The family recently moved to Castro Valley as well.
