I started this illuminated mural (“Indoor Cat”) in my living room on March 21, 2020, with the caption, “When I paint, I don’t worry.”

I completed the painting in nine days. Little did I know that my giant cat and golden sunshine would become my backdrop for dozens of virtual meetings extending beyond the year that followed.
