Eric Monsef ’90, M.S. ’96 led the group responsible for bringing to market HP Sprout, which was awarded Best Desktop PC at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show, by PC Mag. The HP Sprout is an immersive workstation that combines a fully loaded TouchSmart all-in-one PC with a combination projector and scanner, plus cameras. Monsef is an engineering management adjunct professor and VP of Immersive Systems at HP.
Ollie Mamaril '96 was recently promoted to senior motion graphic designer for CBS' Decades TV Network. He, his wife (Sara), and their cat (Rolls) live in Chicago.
Suzy (Pollack) Loftus '96 was selected to serve as a special assistant attorney general on criminal law issues to California Attorney General Kamala Harris. Suzy was a former domestic violence and elder abuse prosecutor in San Francisco and will be a liaison to local, state and federal law enforcement. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, Tom, and her three daughters, Maureen, Vivienne, and Grace.
Rick Loayza '96 and Cristina Loayza welcomed a child, Derek Joshua Loayza, on Nov. 18, 2011. He joins brother Jacob (7) and sister Alexis (5). The family lives in Nashville, Tenn.
Maureen (Meagher) Lewison '96 and her husband welcome their second daughter, Keely Beth, on July 27, 2008. She joins older sister Rylee. The family lives in Everett Wash.
Maureen (Meagher) Lewison '96 and husband Brent welcomed their third child, Coby Stephen Lewison, on April 24, 2010. He is joined by his big sisters Rylee Jade and Keely Beth Lewison. He is looking forward to playing some football in the hopes of escaping all that pink.
Jennifer Lemus (Rielly) '96 and her husband, Rudy, and big sister Rielly welcomed their second daughter, Emily Lauren, on December 20, 2010. The family lives in Bothell, WA a small suburb of Seattle.
Jason Kelperis '96, a math teacher at St. Helena High, who has been teaching for the St. Helena Unified School District since 2001, was profiled in the Napa Valley Register on his teaching style and how he measures success. Kelperis and his wife have four sons, ages 3, 5, 8 and 11.
Kimbrae (Burton) Jasper '96 and husband Kevin welcomed a baby boy, Kai Omari Lawrence, on Jan. 31, 2011.
Michelle (Despres) Jaeger ’96 and husband Jens Jaeger—a baby girl, Madison Camille, on Feb. 9, 2011. The family lives in San Francisco. Michelle is a Realtor on the Peninsula.
Michelle (Despres) Jaeger '96 and husband, Jens Jaeger welcomed Liam Jackson on Jan 29, 2015. He joins sisters Sydney, age 2 and Madison, age 4. Michelle is a Realtor on the Peninsula and Jens is in Marketing at Google.
Renske (Hanselaar) Hinsdale '96 and her husband, Graham, welcomed their second son, Gage Patterson, on July 11, 2008. He joins big brother Clay, 2, in the family's home in Redwood City.
Matthew Hewitson '96 has taken over as principal at Lincoln High School in San Jose. Hewitson joined the San Jose Unified School District in 2000 as a football coach and social science teacher at Gunderson High School. He came to Lincoln in 2007 to serve as assistant principal of summer school and since 2008 has been assistant principal of guidance.
Matt Hansink '96 and wife Holly Geringer welcomed their first child, Quinton Jack Hansink, on December 21, 2009. The happy family lives in Portland, Ore.
Matt Hansink '96 along with wife, Holly, and 6-year-old son, Quinton, moved back to Portland, OR. Matt is a marketing consultant for Bridge Partners Consulting.
The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley has awarded the Jose Luis and Ofelia Guerrero family with its La Familia Award for deep-rooted commitment and involvement in the community. Among the family members honored were Martha Guerrero Soto '85, Veronica Guerrero Wildanger '88, MBA '96, and Ignacio J. Guerrero '95. Martha is principal at Mount Pleasant High School, Veronica homeschools and volunteers in the arts, and Ignacio is director of Child Support Services for the County of Santa Clara. Other siblings honored included Jose Luis, retired battalion chief for the city of San Jose, and Juan Carlos, reporter for ABC News.
Amanda Groves J.D. '96 joins Winston & Strawn LLP in its Charlotte office. A veteran commercial litigator, Groves has been a partner in the firm's San Francisco office and is chair of the firm's Diversity Committee. She has represented consumer-product companies in complex commercial litigation. Besides successfully representing consumer-product companies and national retailers in numerous high-stakes class actions based on state and federal consumer protection laws, Groves is noted for resolving state-wide and national litigation involving financial institutions' loan origination transactions and collection practices.
Tyson Green ’96, wife Dana, and 2-year-old Cooper Robert welcomed a girl, Remy Marie, on March 4, 2014. The family lives in Los Gatos, Calif.
