It was 30 years ago this September that Santa Clara President William Rewak, S.J.enlisted editor Peg Major to launch a new publication: Santa Clara Magazine. That inaugural issue included an essay by President Rewak, “Saints, diamonds, and bears,” on the changing nature of higher education, as well as articles by faculty and alumni on the media and mass psychology, love and the new Catholic marriage law, the high-tech boom, and “Santa Clara Potpourri”—a visual quiz of campus landmarks. mag-bug
