SCM Staff 05 Jan 2005 SCU is among the top 20 schools in the country according to Sports Illustrated’s fall all-sports rankings. Published in the magazine’s “On Campus” online edition on September 28, the rankings were compiled from each of the fall sports and took in to account the schools that had the most success during the first few weeks of the season. Santa Clara was ranked 19th among the 25 schools listed and was the only Division IAAA (non-football) institution to make the rankings. “Every sport that has competed this fall has had some type of noteworthy achievement and three of our six teams in season are ranking among the top 15 nationally. It is great to be able to give our students and fans winning programs to support,” says Dan Coonan, SCU’s director of athletics. For a link to the story, visit www.scu.edu/athletics.
