Grad Cap

Grad students are getting specialized care at the Career Center.

Though graduate students are typically at different points in their careers than their undergraduate counterparts, they are often presented with the same slate of career services and opportunities. Not so at Santa Clara.

The Career Center’s Myriam Bartz has been named assistant director of career development for alumni and graduate students, except for those in the business and law schools.

“So often, graduate students in schools that are primarily undergraduate-facing do not receive career help that’s uniquely crafted for their particular needs,” says Bartz. “Perhaps they’re older or further along in their careers, or making a career change. I’m here to help them with their goals.”
