Superior Selections

Two Santa Clara Law alums have been appointed to California Superior Court judgeships.

In November, Governor Gavin Newsom ’89 appointed two fellow Broncos to the bench. The pair was among 19 total appointments of California Superior Court judges.

Murlene Randle

Rita Badhan J.D. ’02 will serve as a judge in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. After attending Santa Clara Law, she worked in public defender offices in Santa Clara, Sacramento, and Los Angeles counties.

Murlene Randle J.D. ’80 was appointed to serve in the San Francisco County Superior Court. Prior to becoming a sole practitioner in 2006, Randle served in several positions at the county and city levels, including chief of the Criminal Division at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office.
