Steve Nash ’96 is now the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.

Steve Nash ’96 has left the Bay Area, again.

Nash heads to New York as the new head coach of the Brooklyn Nets after five seasons as a player development consultant with the Golden State Warriors. In that time, the Warriors produced two NBA Championship teams and made four consecutive trips to the Finals.

As a player, Nash played 18 seasons with the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, and Los Angeles Lakers. At the time of the announcement in September 2020,

Nash told NBA.com, “I am as excited about the prospects of the team on the court as I am about moving to Brooklyn with my family and becoming impactful members of this community.”
