Hey Mikey!

San Mateo County Manager Mike Callagy J.D. ’91 set up one of California’s no-cost COVID testing sites.

Trumpeting his “exceptional” leadership amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and late summer wildfires, the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors extended the contract of County Manager Mike Callagy J.D. ’91 by four years.

Callagy was appointed to the role with a two-year contract in 2018. Under his leadership, the county worked with Project Baseline, through a Google sister company focused on healthcare, to establish one of the state of California’s first no-cost COVID-19 testing sites.

Additionally, the county worked to secure hotel rooms to house those with insecure housing and launched programs to help renters.
