Famed sports agent Bill Duffy ’82—a member of the Santa Clara University Board of Trustees—is committed to restoring a National Football League team to Oakland, California, following the Raiders’ relocation to Las Vegas in 2020.

The founder of BDA Sports Management has signed on as chief strategist with the African American Sports and Entertainment Group to help form the first majority Black-owned NFL franchise.

How serious are they? The group is seeking to purchase the city’s interest in the Oakland Coliseum for a reported $92 million.
