Reaching New Heights

After a national search, Manuel Perez ’04 has been selected as the College of San Mateo’s new president.

Following a national search, Manuel Perez ’04 has been tapped by the San Mateo County Community College District as president of the College of San Mateo.

Perez brings with him 20 years of professional experience in higher education and the community college system. As the college’s first queer-identifying and Latino president, Perez hopes to create a culture of care, belonging, and excellence that supports the success of all students.

“I look forward to working collaboratively with the faculty, staff, students, and community partners to advance the mission and vision of this transformative institution,” Perez said.
