Elite Research This year’s Beckman scholarship recipients will conduct research into polymers and plant proteins. Leslie Griffy 26 Oct 2021 Ella Basler ’23 and Erica Svendahl ’23 were named Beckman scholars, giving them an opportunity to participate in research with mentor faculty over the next 15 months. Basler’s research focuses on using light, rather than toxic metals, to synthesize and manipulate polymers. She will work with Eric Tillman, professor of chemistry and biochemistry. Svendahl will research proteins that coat nanoparticles with Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry Korin Wheeler.
