SCU Announces New Positions

Santa Clara gains three new trustees and a new vice president of enrollment management.

Former Dean of Undergraduate Admission Eva Blanco Masias M.A. ’11 is SCU’s next Vice President for Enrollment Management.

During Blanco Masias’ 17-year tenure, the University has seen a record number of applications and expanded its national and international reputation. SCU’s undergraduate student body now comprises more than 50 percent students of color, while boasting the highest academic profile in its history and one of the highest retention and graduation rates in the country.

The Santa Clara University Board of Trustees welcomed three new members in early June. Molly Joseph ’96, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare Global; Gisel Ruiz ’92, a former longtime executive with Walmart and advisory board member of SCU’s Retail Management Institute; and Kathleen Duncan, who previously served on the SCU Board of Regents and is the granddaughter of Thomas Leavey ’22 and Dorothy Leavey, whose foundation has greatly contributed to SCU’s campus and scholarship for decades.
