Collecting Wonder

So many people lined up to tell Katie Mahon ’78 about their encounters with the miraculous, she had to write a second book to fit all their stories.

Miracles are not relegated to the past, the stuff of tall tales and storybooks. As Katie Mahon ’78 and her co-authors learned writing their first book, The Miracle Chase, miracles happen every day.

While the book was being promoted, “people came out of the woodwork to tell us their stories,” Mahon said during an SCU Alumni Bronco Expert Series event this past May about what led to the second book. “We realized over the years that we had become the story keepers, and The Miracle Collectors was born.”

The new book is a compilation of miraculous stories and a spiritual guide to help readers discover deeper meaning in their own lives.
