Schwarz, Hans

Hans Schwarz '80 is Qorvo's corporate vice president of business development and strategy, responsible for facilitating company-level strategy development and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to the merger of TriQuint and RFMD to form Qorvo, Mr. Schwarz was RFMD's corporate vice president of business development, a position he held since joining RFMD in October 2011. Prior to RFMD, Mr. Schwarz was with c365, Inc., a web-based energy analytic start-up company he founded in 2009. From 2007 to 2009 he served as a managing director of a late-stage private crossover venture fund. Mr. Schwarz previously served as VP of Business and Strategy development as well as held business development and market development positions with Xilinx Inc., a supplier of software and programmable logic devices, from 1992 until 2007.

Rosen, Lawrence

Lawrence Rosen J.D. '94 is both an attorney and a computer specialist. He is founding partner of Rosenlaw & Einschlag, a technology law firm with offices in Los Altos Hills and Ukiah, California, that specializes in intellectual property protection, licensing and business transactions for technology companies.

In addition to this law practice, Larry also served for many years as general counsel and secretary of the non-profit Open Source Initiative (OSI). He currently advises many open source companies and non-profit open source projects.  In 2005-2006 he was a Lecturer in Law at Stanford Law School.

Larry served on the board of directors of International Characters, and on the advisory boards of SpikeSource, Black Duck Software, and JasperSoft.

 

Larry's book, Open Source Licensing: Software Freedom and Intellectual Property Law, was published by Prentice Hall in 2004.

Before he became an attorney, Larry was a computer technologist. He managed computer activities and taught computer programming and data base design at Stanford University, later going into industry where he coordinated the design, development, manufacturing and marketing of data communications products. In addition to helping bring a number of technology companies to profitability, Larry also served for many years as member of the board of directors and chairman of Silicon Valley Credit Union, and has helped form and served on the boards of several non-profit charitable and mutual benefit organizations.

Richardson, Stephen
Stephen A. Richardson MBA '89 has served as Chief Operating Officer and Regional Market Director, San Francisco, of Alexandria Real Estate Equities, since October 2011. Richardson previously served as the Company’s Executive Vice President/Regional Market Director of the San Francisco Bay Area from January 2011 to October 2011, and Senior Vice President/Regional Market Director, San Francisco Bay Area from July 2005 to January 2011, where he was responsible for the management of the Company’s San Francisco region asset base and operations. Prior to joining the Company, Richardson served as a Director of CellNet Data Systems from 1993 to 2000.

Fujii, Andrea

Andrea Fujii J.D. '02 is a CBS2/KCAL9 reporter in Los Angeles. She was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She took an unusual road to journalism, which, in her words, took her “a little longer than most.” After taking and passing the California bar exam, she realized she didn’t want to practice law and instead pursued her dream of reporting.

Fujii’s first reporting job was at KHON, the Fox affiliate in Honolulu. She then anchored at the NBC affiliate in Yakima, Wash., before anchoring and reporting at the Fox affiliate in Salt Lake City and CBS’ WJZ in Baltimore. She began working with CBS2/KCAL9 in October 2012.

Fujii is married to Whit Johnson, who anchors at NBC4. She has two young daughters and a dog named Nemo. “We love being in LA: the weather, being close to family and friends, and the endless amounts of things to do and see,” she says. Fujii is always up for a challenge and describes herself as a wife, mother, dog lover and food enthusiast.

Estremera, Tony

Tony Estremera '72 began his tenure on the District 6 board of the Santa Clara County Water District in 1996, when he was appointed to fill out Pat Ferraro's term after the District 2 representative resigned. The following year, the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors appointed him to represent the North County. In 2001 and 2007 he served as the Board's chairperson. Now he is director.

Tony has extensive government experience in both appointed and elected positions serving on the Santa Clara County Grand Jury, Santa Clara County Housing Task Force, Valley Medical Center Advisory Board, Santa Clara County Personnel Board, San Jose Municipal Stadium Task Force, (San Jose) Mayor's Committee on Minority Affairs and the San Jose/Evergreen Community College District Board of Trustees. Tony is Directing Attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Santa Clara County. He is an active member of the State Bar of California and the Santa Clara County Bar Association.

Chun, David

As an attorney, David J. Chun J.D. '98 has practiced workers’ compensation defense exclusively. Mr. Chun has vast experience in all aspects of defending self-insured employers and insurance carriers on workers’ compensation, 132a, and serious and willful matters. In addition, Mr. Chun has lectured on various topics related to this practice and is available to lecture in accordance with his clients’ needs and requests. Mr. Chun speaks conversational Spanish, is fluent in Korean and has both studied and worked in South Korea. He enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf. Mr. Chun has been certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation law. He is a shareholder and manager of the Fresno office of Stander Reubens Thomas Kinsey as well as the Chief Operations Officer and Vice President of the firm.
