A resident of Berkeley, Bill Beahrs MBA ’73 grew up in Palo Alto and graduated from Stanford University. He worked as a computer programmer for the state of California until his retirement several years ago Bill was a devoted Berkeley Community Chorus and Orchestra bass player who had sung with the orchestra under all three conductors and traveled with the chorus on its European tours. The joy Bill experienced from participating in the chorus reflected the group’s inclusive community spirit. He died on Dec. 6, 2016, and is survived by an extended family of three generations, with 14 living in the Berkeley area.
