William Loftis MBA ’82 had a unique ability to repair things. Bill’s career started with designing integrated circuits for companies such as Fairchild and Siemens. Later he switched from hardware design to software. He was once called on to fix software developed by one of his customers over a weekend in Chicago, and by Sunday night the software was working again. Bill was also an avid tennis player, winning a gold medal in singles in the 65-year-and-up age group in St. George, Utah. He also loved music and played the saxophone and clarinet in many bands in California and Oregon. Bill died on April 10, 2022.
