Always a faithful and loving father, William J. Scilacci ’44 died April 9, 2022. As WWII began for the U.S., he enlisted in the US Navy and served on the USS Edwards. Bill was honorably discharged in July 1946 but remained in the Naval Reserve until 1958. Bill wed Joan Marie Rudolph Scilacci, and celebrated 65 years of marriage. Many family members recall Bill and Joan’s home on Mulberry Lane as a place of lasting friendships. In his final years, Bill used his cell phone to stay in touch with his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren, siblings, and friends. Conversations with Bill were never long, but they were deeply personal and allowed an ongoing positive connection during the Covid isolation months. He is predeceased by his loving wife Joan, brother Robert Scilacci ’55, father Wilford Scilacci ’14, mother Irma Scillaci ’14, and survived by extended family including son William Scillaci MBA ’79, and sister-in-law Mary Scillaci ’55.
