After graduating from SCU on a scholarship from the state of California, William “Bill” J. Eppler ’60 served in the California National Guard. Then, Bill worked for Dames and Moore and the city of San Jose as a civil engineer. He took an early retirement and spent his remaining years helping family members and neighbors. A longtime supporter of the San Francisco 49ers and the San Francisco Giants, Bill died March 4, 2022, survived by his niece, nephews, grandnephews, and brother Robert R. Eppler ’61.
