William Holland ’79 was a constant source of support and warmth to family, friends, and neighbors, as well as service members worldwide as a chaplain in the United States Air Force. After being ordained a Roman Catholic priest, Bill dedicated many years to the Sacramento community before leaving the priesthood to work with the California Mental Health Services Division for nearly 20 years. Bill’s travels influenced everything in his life, from his storytelling to his home décor to the delicious international cuisine he cooked for loved ones. Bill died on Jan. 17, 2025, and is survived by brother Dennis Holland ’82. He is preceded in death by his father William Holland ’54.
