William F. Brown Jr. ’55, J.D. ’60 always worked hard and diligently to attain his goals. In high school he paid for his tuition through a paper route. He aspired to go to law school and after serving as a second lieutenant for two years in the Army in order to finance his return to Santa Clara, he found a lifelong career in law. He also found many lifelong friends there. After practicing law for 11 years, he was appointed to the Municipal Court by Governor Ronald Reagan in 1975. In 1983, he was appointed to the Superior Court in Santa Clara County by Governor George Deukmejian. He died on Oct. 12, 2021 and is survived by family, including son Gregory Brown J.D. ’92.
