1964

Walter Vennemeyer ’64 loved hunting, camping, boating, and often took his sons with him on adventures. He was a passionate handyman, successful business owner, and proud Army veteran. After leaving the Army, Walt worked in banking and, while employed at Crocker Bank, met and married his wife of 46 years, Joan. They bought a house in Mill Valley, to which Walt added a standalone workshop, garden paddock, and the world’s most elaborate tree house, all built by hand. He later founded a bond financing company. Walt died Oct. 17, 2022, and is survived by his family, including niece Kristin Anderson ’95 and sister Leona Anderson ’66.
