A proud dual citizen, Virginia Joyce ’81 embraced her Brazilian heritage and became a U.S. citizen in 2007. During her time at Santa Clara University, she met her husband, Robert Joyce ’81, in an economics class. Their love story was filled with laughter, adventure, and cherished memories, from globetrotting—especially to Brazil—to countless cozy movie nights together. Virginia enjoyed a 43-year career in banking that began at Crocker Bank and flourished as she became a branch manager at Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of the West. She died on Sept. 13, 2024.
