At SCU, Vincent Llorin ’92 won the National Collegiate Boxing Association championship after fighting just one match. There wasn’t much competition in his weight class—he came in at 112 pounds. After graduation, Llorin put his SCU engineering degree to work for the state of Hawaii at its department of transportation. His love of sport stayed with him as he surfed as often as possible. He died at the age of 50 on Jan. 19, 2020 in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Llorin is survived by his father and siblings.
