The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley has awarded the Jose Luis and Ofelia Guerrero family with its La Familia Award for deep-rooted commitment and involvement in the community.  Among the family members honored were Martha Guerrero Soto ’85, Veronica Guerrero Wildanger ’88, MBA ’96, and Ignacio J. Guerrero ’95. Martha is principal at  Mount Pleasant High School, Veronica homeschools and volunteers in the arts, and Ignacio is director of Child Support Services for the County of Santa Clara. Other siblings honored included Jose Luis, retired battalion chief for the city of San Jose, and Juan Carlos, reporter for ABC News.
