1967

Timothy McBride ’67 spent a lot of time up in the air. Tim served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force with logistics and the Tactical Air Command organization and later flew his own Beechcraft Bonanza as a licensed commercial pilot. He also volunteered his time training pilots as well as shepherding rescue dogs to new homes through the non-profit Pilots N Paws. Tim’s proudest career achievement was co-founding the Real Estate Finance Initiative at Georgetown University in 2005 and teaching the undergraduate course for seven years. In recognition of his support and service to the university, Tim received the Law Center’s Paul R. Dean Award in 1999, the Peter W. Gonzales, Jr. Award for Excellence in Adjunct Faculty Teaching, and was elected to the 1789 Society. He died April 10, 2024.
