Timothy Jay Walsh ’62 was born in Phoenix on Oct. 12, 1940. He graduated from St. Francis Xavier grade school, Brophy College Prep, and SCU. He worked at Walsh Bros. part-time, from 1955 to 1962, and full time, 1962 to 2008. He was a Rotary International member from 1966 to 2015. He died at home on July 6, 2018, and is survived by nieces Sandy Bjorklund, Ricki Brannon (Mark), Terry Taber (Tom), Wendy James, and Statia Whitis; nephews Richard J. Walsh III (Janet) and Peter B. Walsh Jr. (Karen); and 13 grand-nieces and nephews; as well as by cousins Debbie Blazer, David Lay, Bradley Lay (Leslie), and loved ones. He was a friend to most he met, loved a few deeply, and cared greatly for his fellow employees. Tim was grateful to the many who assisted him in life. He ENJOYED the Upper East Verde, Payson, and BEER. His favorite saying, in good times and bad: “MORE FUN!” The relatives of Timothy promised him they wouldn’t change a word of his self-drafted obituary.
