In 2020, Tim Fennell served on the “Citizen’s Police Task Force” established by the city council of Los Altos, California, to assess certain programs, policies, and procedures of the city police department. He was appointed to the task force because of his prior experience in law enforcement and corporate human resource management, as well as having contributed a chapter to the book Police Human Relations.
