Thomas H. Morrin M.A. ’85 was born on Sept. 9, 1943, to Thomas H. Morrin and Frances (Von Ahn) Morrin in San Francisco. Tom graduated in 1961 from Palo Alto High School and earned a B.S. in electrical engineering in 1965 from MIT, a master’s in electrical engineering in 1968 from Seattle University, a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Washington, and a master’s in counseling from SCU. He worked for Boeing (1965–1971), IBM (1971–1990), and was a professor at St. Martin’s University (1990–98). He loved hiking, spending time in nature, installing solar panel systems, reading, volunteering, and health and wellness. At age 76, he passed away on Dec. 22, 2019, in Olympia, Washington, his home of 31 years. He is survived by sons Davin Morrin (San Diego) and Craig Morrin (Yelm, Washington); daughter Amy Morrin (San Francisco); two grandchildren; and sisters Diane Morrin, Lynne Morrin, and Denise (Morrin) Fabiano.
