Attorney, artist, and proud SCU Bronco Thomas Castelazo ’62, J.D. ’64 died Feb. 12, 2024. Tom first found work at the Fresno County District Attorney’s office and spent several years as a prosecutor and public defender before moving to private practice. He forged deep and lasting friendships in the legal community and kept his license active until age 80. Additionaly, he was a man of many artistic and intellectual interests. Whether working on creative expression through community college art classes, participating in the Fresno Printmakers Guild, or as the founder of Persiflage Press, Tom never stopped learning. Tom was also a dedicated parishioner and former Board President at St. Paul Catholic Newman Center, and for over two decades volunteered with Catholic Charities in their mission to ensure access to food for all.
