After graduating SCU, Thomas Balestrieri ’70 worked at Bank of America and was a senior vice president in commercial banking for over 45 years. He strongly identified with his Sicilian heritage from his dad and his Spanish Basque culture from his mom. Balestrieri enjoyed several trips to Europe, Mexico, and Hawaii with his family and friends. His most memorable trips were with his Santa Clara friends on a river cruise down the Danube and to Italy, where he visited his grandparent’s birthplace, Sant’Elia, Sicily. Along with spending time with his wife, Victoria, and three sons, his greatest passions were football and golf. Balestrieri Dec. 5, 2022, with his family by his side.
