Therese Jackson ’73 was a proud fourth generation San Franciscan. Growing up in South San Francisco, Terry knew she wanted to go to Santa Clara University. While at SCU, she met her husband, David Jackson ’73. Terry went on to earn a masters in library science at San Jose State. Her love of reading was the genesis of a 32-year career at the San Bruno Public Library starting in 1975. She would go on to become the Director of Library Services while also managing the Planning Department when the city consolidated its operations. Terry was a confidant to many who sought her sound advice. She was the first woman in the San Bruno Rotary Club and took pride in making that organization stronger. Terry died on October 24, 2022.
