1971

Terry Faherty ’71 was the person called for a heart-to-heart or a scrumptious homemade meal. She was a tireless host and her house was open to visitors at any hour. Annual reunions at her house quickly grew to multiple days of food, theater, and laughter. Terry’s skills in the kitchen were legendary and she assisted famous San Francisco chef and author Barbara Tropp many times. Terry also loved to be active in nature. She often stopped mid-sentence to identify a particular bird outside the window or would gather the family outside at night to gaze at the stars and Jupiter. A self-proclaimed world-class ballerina, Terry had an unusually wide wingspan, able to hug all. She died May 24, 2023, and is survived by family, including husband Tom Faherty ’69 and daughter Maureen Fahert ’04.
