Terrance L. Stinnett J.D. ’69 has been recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a result of his excellence in both the fields of banking and legal services. Terrance currently serves as general counsel and secretary for Fremont Bank and Fremont Bancorporation. He has been a member of the board of directors of both corporations since 1990.
Terrance has practiced bankruptcy law since 1972 and has worked with Fremont Bank for the past two decades. He is a the Chair of the Directors’ Loan Committee and the Directors’ Fair Lending Committee, as well as being a member of the Directors’ Research and Technology Committee and the Officers’ Loan Committee. He also acts as the Bank’s Secrecy Act Officer and the Bank’s Compliance Officer. Prior to his current position, Terrance spent 36 years with the firm of Goldberg, Stinnett, Meyers & Davis and its predecessors. Throughout his illustrious career, Terrance has achieved vast professional successes in both the Banking Industry and the Legal Profession.
Additionally, Terrance is a member of the San Francisco Bar Association; American Bar Association; California State Bar Association; and the Bay Area Bankruptcy Forum. He received an AV Peer Rating from Martindale Hubbell and has been recognized by Northern California Super Lawyer in Bankruptcy Law (2006); Northern California Super Lawyer in Banking Law (2007); Kipling’s Who’s Who in Leading Business Professionals (2008 Edition); Who’s Who in American Law; Who’s Who in America; America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals as Professional of the Year in the field of Bankruptcy Law (2007); as well as Who’s Who in Practicing Attorneys (1980).
Terrance earned his BS from Stanford University in 1962 and graduated with his JD Magna Cum Laude from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1969 where he graduated first in his class. While attending Santa Clara University, he was the Associate Editor of the Santa Clara Lawyer Law Review, and wrote an article entitled Standards To Guaranty Effective Assistance of Counsel that was published in 8 Santa Clara Lawyer 108 (1968).
Terrance is married to Annette Stinnett. His hobbies include cooking and baking, golf, vintage race car driving with Classic Sports Car Racing Group, participating in Ferrari Club of America events and traveling.
