Thomas Jeffery Armstrong ’68 (Jeff as he was known) was born in Binghamton, New York, on Dec. 14, 1946. He lived in Saratoga during his youth and attended SCU, where he met his wife, Mary Ellen. After eight years of raising a family in Los Angeles, they moved to Allendale, where they resided for 23 years. Jeff had a successful sales and marketing career in the fashion industry. A loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Jeff passed away on Oct. 24, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Armstrong ’68, son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Christine Armstrong, daughter Amy Armstrong, son and daughter-in-law Nathan and Brianne Armstrong, son, Thom Armstrong, sister, Sallie Huntting, brother Kevin Armstrong, and brother Phil Armstrong, and grandchildren Olivia, Joseph, Griffin, Owen, Nathan, Everly, and Emma, as well as several other Broncos in the family: sisters-in-law Nancy Wheeler ’75 and Elizabeth Lummis ’84, nephews Timothy Wheeler ’02 and Danny Wheeler ’07, and niece Mary Wheeler ’12. He was predeceased by his sister, Peggy Armstrong, mother and father Margaret and Thomas Armstrong, as well as father-in-law John G. Thom ’41. He will be missed by the many family members, friends, and lives that he touched.
