Susan Dondershine J.D. ’85 was born in Newark, New Jersey, to a poor but loving family. She graduated from Weequahic High School in 1959 and was married for 53 years. She earned a bachelor’s in English from Skidmore College and a master’s in English from City University of New York. She taught high school English in Michigan and White Plains New York. Susan earned her law degree from SCU and practice criminal law for 29 years. She was a zealous advocate and the first private lawyer to open an office in East Palo Alto. She traveled the world with her husband and especially enjoyed living in Rome for seven months. Susan died on Nov. 1, 2017, after a short illness at the family home in Palo Alto. She is survived by her husband, Harvey Dondershine J.D. ’82 of Palo Alto, and her son, Stephen Dondershine, of Burlingame.
