Susan Jean Bayerd JD ’81 was born in 1946. She moved to the Bay Area and earned both a journalism degree from SF State and a J.D. from SCU. Susan lived her life as a devoted family, community, and church member. She gave of her time and heart, and her empathy and education fueled the self-sacrifice of her deeds. She passed away on Feb. 10, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Susan is survived by her husband, Robert Vitale; her son, Samuel Bayerd; and all those she touched in life.
