Scott Richard Lord J.D. ’79 is trial lawyer specializing in construction contracts and disputes. In 2015 he published The Logic Bomb, a suspenceful novel involving an attorney, a malicious computer program, and a showdown in court involving Chinese spies, domestic terrorists, and the U.S. government. Many of the characters and situations in his fiction are inspired by people and cases he has encountered during his long career. Scott is a student of the Italian language and is a devoted opera lover. Scott is also a five-time Jeopardy! winner. He lives with his wife and children in Santa Monica.
