Father San Mai, S.J. ’89, MBA ’94, M.Div ’20 was ordained July 6, 2020 at St. Ignatius Church in Southeast Portland by Archbishop Alexander Sample. Father Mai was a Silicon Valley executive prior to entering the Society of Jesus in 2011, calling his vocation “late and surprising, yet incredibly consoling.” In a small rite with participants wearing masks due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Archbishop Sample said he appreciates seeing Father Mai’s “total abandonment to God’s will.”
