Samuel Bertram ’16, M.S. ’18 and his brother Jonathan were interviewed by Linda Zavoral of the Mercury News about OnePointOne, an agricultural technology company the two co-founded, and Willo, their direct-to-consumer health and lifestyle brand. They discussed using innovative indoor farming technolgy to reduce large-scale consumption and contamination of water, create new agricultral jobs, personalize nutrition, and as Samuel put it: “Use plant-based food as the primary tool for preventative medicine that it has always been.” The brothers aim to fight the global problems of malnourishment and diet-related disease, naming OnePointOne for the 1.1 billion people that began this millennium malnourished.
