Sam Bhaumik MBA ’96 joined Square 1 Bank, a diversified financial services company, as an executive vice president and head of Silicon Valley. Bhaumik, who brings more than 25 years of debt financing and investment experience, will be a member of the senior leadership team. Prior to joining Square 1 Bank, he was senior managing director with Hercules Technology Growth Capital. He also spent two years as the New York Stock Exchange’s vice president of the western region and was co-founder of the emerging growth division at Imperial Bank (which was later acquired by Comerica). Bhaumik also previously served as a vice president with Silicon Valley Bank’s Technology Group.
