A senior trial attorney on the Watergate Special prosecution force Ronald Malone JD ’71 died March 11, 2020. After leaving the U.S. Justice Department, Malone was a trial lawyer specializing in charitable trusts and a well-known horseman in Petaluma. As fires ravaged Sonoma County in 2017, the horse ranch Ronald operated with his wife, Sara, became a safe haven for displaced horses. The couple’s giving extended to many organizations that support horses—and humans. Sara, his daughters, grandchildren, and three dogs survive him.
