Rodney J. Holzkamp ’63, age 73, of San Francisco and Chicago, passed away peacefully in his sleep in San Francisco, on Monday, Oct 6, 2014. He was born Jan. 15, 1941, in San Francisco to Margaret (Gianfrancheschi) Holzkamp, and Rugen Holzkamp Sr. Rodney attended and graduated from St. Vincent De Paul Elementary school, St. Ignatius Preparatory HS, Santa Clara University for his B.A. in History, and California State University, SF for his Masters degree in History. He went on to teach for over 25 years at the College of Dupage in Glen Elyn, Il. Rodney was a devoted Christian, as well as an avid world traveler. He is survived by his niece Robin Whewell, and cousins Cynthia Chapman, Felton Howe Jr, Julie Bowra, Donna Guilder, Cindee Bunt, Rhoda Peterson, their families and many friends.
