Nobili Medal awardee and president of the SCU alumni board from 1974-75 Roderick McNeil ’57 was a Bronco of character. After graduating from Santa Clara, Don enlisted in the Army and went through an Ironworkers apprenticeship, before setting his sights on law school. He went on to practice law for nearly 60 years with a primary focus in estate planning and business. He described his work this way, “I spend time with individuals, learn how they think and something about their lives and concerns and sometimes I can help.” Don died May 6, 2023, and is survived by family including sons Thomas J.D. ’98, Peter ’90, and Patrick McNeil ’92.
