1974

Robert Rogers MBA ’74 was guided by the principle of joie de vivre. Robert, affectionately called Bump, grew up surrounded by friends and family in Long Beach, Calif., where he fished off the pier, water skied out of the mouth of the Los Angeles River, served as an altar boy and attended the Boy Scouts. He earned degrees in metallurgy and engineering, followed by an MBA, and pursued a career in nuclear engineering and co-founded TBW Industries, INC. (The Buckle Works). Bump took great pride in the Los Gatos home he shared with his wife, Judy, and would start every day with a handwritten note for her that would begin with “Good morning, my dear queen.” He died Jan. 1, 2024.
