Just after graduating college, Robert Nulk ’58 worked in reliability and maintainability on various defense projects with the newly formed National Aeronautics and Space Administration—NASA. He carried this theme throughout his 21-year military career. After he retired from NASA, Bob began a second career working for FMC-United Defense, which manufactures combat vehicles and other military machinery. When he finally, actually retired, Bob rested and enjoyed fishing, travel, and especially genealogy. He wrote and published four books on family history. Bob died May 14, 2024, and is survived by family, including son Christopher Nulk ’84, nieces Nancy Horowitz ’79, Mary Vavuris ’80, and Carol Philpott ’84, and nephew Thomas Nulk ’87.
