Before attending SCU Law, Robert Mertz J.D. ’47  was discharged from WWII-era Army service at Ft. Ord in 1944. He went on to build his practice and start a family in Lodi. For 68 years, he served his community, including three years as a city judge. He combined his loves of golf and travel, teeing off in Hong Kong and Japan, and enjoyed many holidays of swimming, family, and sun in Ione, CA. Bob died Feb. 1, 2022.
