Robert McGuiness ’72 is retiring as supervising judge of the Alameda County Superior Court’s Civil Settlement Unit and joining Signature Resolution, an L.A.-based ADR provider which is expanding into Northern California. McGuiness was appointed to the bench by California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2005. His wife, Judge Yolanda Northridge, retired from the same bench in 2022. McGuiness will be primarily working out of the Oakland office but will be available for trials, arbitrations and mediations throughout the state.
