Robert L. Trouard MBA ’78 was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on June 24, 1936. Bob graduated from Tulane University with a B.S. in engineering and went on to receive a master’s in engineering from Stanford and an MBA from SCU. In addition to being a loving husband and wonderful father, he enjoyed a 32-year career as an engineer at GTE Sylvania in Mountain View. The years he spent serving as choir director and deacon for Baptist Temple of San Jose, as well as elder, Bible study leader, and member of Promise Heirs Men’s Choral Group at South Valley Community Church of Gilroy brought him great joy. He went to be with his lord and savior, Jesus Christ in heaven, on Nov. 29, 2018, at the age of 82. Bob was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Joan, and survived by children Bob Trouard of San Jose, Stacy Weed of Atascadero, Ted Trouard of Tucson, Terri Hannigan of San Jose and Vicki DaSilva of Kohler; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and wife of eight years, Connie. His love for Jesus, family, and music will be missed by all who knew him.
