Robert Karchevski M.S. ’80 was born in 1935 in Detroit and attended Cass Tech (art) then went to the University of Michigan. After that he joined the Navy, where he discovered his love for math—he got his engineering degree at Northeastern, plus a master’s in engineering from SCU. He settled in Mountain View, where he worked for Nortel until he retired. Rob was an avid stamp collector and loved to trade in the stock market. He passed peacefully in his sleep on April 2, 2018, and his ashes will be scattered at sea.
